Title: Control Techniques of Smart Inverters for Microgrids

Abstract:

Microgrids has gained fast development momentum in recent years due to the development of modern power electronics, control techniques, communication techniques, , artificial intelligence, and especially the renewable energy systems. This talk presents the requirements and development of modern smart inverters for their applications in smart microgrids. Special emphasis will be focused on the inverter topologies, smart functions required for autonomous operation, and required control techniques to support these functions for a smart inverter.
